BCI is about to officially release its newest product, the 1103 Mini Series fiber optic 3G HD-SDI miniature transport. About the size of your thumb, the 1103 Mini Series transports 3G serial digital HD video over a single multimode or singlemode fiber long distances. The units fully support variable data rates compliant with SMPTE 424-M, SMPTE 292M and SMPTE 259M protocols. DVB-ASI transport is also supported. The 1103 Mini Series was designed to directly connect to a HD-SDI camera or to a 3G switching router to provide miniature fiber optic transport capabilities. In addition, the 1103E-MFV model supports input sources of composite NTSC/PAL, S-Video, RGB, Component Video and HDMI with output to HD-SDI compatible display devices.

All of you who attended the NAB Show 2008, probably know that Broadata had one of the busiest shows in its' long history of NAB exhibitions.
At this year's NAB show, BCI launched it's 200i-NVR and 200i-MS, the IP network video recorder and media server. These new IP product models can record multiple MPEG-2/4 audio/video sessions from various sources and enable transmission of multiple MPEG- 2/4 audio/video session over an IP/Ethernet network.
BCI also displayed a set of model 1103 Mini pre- production units. The miniature fiber optic 3G/HD/SDI digital video transport system supports transmission for SMPTE-424 3G HD-SDI, SMPTE-292M HD, SMPTE- 259M SDI, and DVB-ASI. It also has options for SNMP monitoring, embedded digital/analog audio and analog video conversion. This new model will be in production within 2 months.
Many of BCI's international and domestic distributors and representatives visited our booth and helped us for this busy show. After attending the show, Dr. Freddie Lin, CEO of Broadata Communications Inc., commented, "BCI will continue to focus on fiber optic product lines, but also, use our strong engineering resources to expand our market into the IP arena".

BCI is poised to release new miniature fiber optic products to transmit HD video (1080P +) over fiber optic cabling. The new series of units provides fiber optic extension/transport for DVI (4800 Series), 3G HD- SDI (1103E Series), HDMI (4800H Series), or RGB/YPbPr (4610 Series) with options to add stereo audio and/or RS-232/422. This allows users to distribute any one of the three most popular high-definition video formats (DVI, HDMI, or RGB/YPbPr) over long distance through fiber optic cables. With the addition of support for audio and data capabilities, a wide variety of professional audio/video applications can be addressed, such as HDTV extension, digital signage, video wall, and computer graphic extension/distribution, in hotel board rooms, conventional centers, school campuses, churches and many other locations. The units' miniature sizes allow for discrete placement and increased equipment densities over other industry offerings.
