| Success Story: RGB Over Fiber |
 |
|
Recently, BCI was awarded a multi-million dollar
project for transmitting RGB + Sync video over fiber
in a cinema complex environment. The following
provides a snap-shot on the product (4600E) behind
this success. The 4600E Series products
transport fully
uncompressed, high resolution (up to 1600 X 1200 @
60Hz.) RGB with sync over long or short distances on
fiber optic cabling. Additionally, there are options for
PC keyboard/mouse models with support for stereo
audio
transmission. Sync types are switchable for either
composite, sync on green, or external HV sync. A
unique feature of the 4600E Series is that it passes
tri-level sync as outlined in the HDTV specification.
Typical applications include remote workstations,
digital signage, digital cinema, medical displays,
simulators, etc.
