  • BCI Announces New Release of Edge Series
    1100E Edge
The newly released Edge series support BCI-HD-SDI (model 1100E), SDI (model 1000E), and serial digital audio, AES/EBU (model 1200E) Fiber Optical Transport Systems.
It consists of: audio embedder and de-embedder for HD-SDI and SDI; digital-to-analog or analog-to-digital converter for HD-SDI, SDI or AES/EBU; 1:4 HD-SDI, SDI and AES/EBU distributed amplifier. The above diagrams are an example for model 1100E Edge.
The 1100E-E/D provides real-time insertion or extraction of digital or analog audio over HD-SDI video channel. It inserts four AES 24-bit 48Hz signals, or two analog stereo audio signals into on HD-SDI video channel.
The 1100E-ADC/DAC provides digital-to-analog or analog-to-digital video conversion.
The 1100E-4DA is a 1:4 HD/SDI distribution amplifier which actively splits on HD-SDI input into 4 equalized HD-SDI outputs. It automatically accommodates to multiple HD-SDI rates.
Each of the edge card takes one slot of 200E-CC card cage.

4801E Series - DVI One Fiber Module
    DVI 4801E
BCI is proud to announce the upcoming 4801E series DVI one fiber module- A technically advanced, high- resolution digital video distribution system over a single fiber and in a compact module form factor!!
The 4801E Series is a high performance, yet affordable, Fiber Optic DVI Extension System that is designed to carry one (1) DVI channel, through one (1) multimode fiber. This unique fiber optic system extends the distance up to 500 meters from your video source to your digital flat panel display utilizing the latest micro technology allowing the smallest form factor on the market today!
The 4801E series is similar in function to BCI’s existing 4800 series but with the distinct advantage of transmission over a single fiber! This allows for a quick and easy setup, offering trouble-free operation, easier system troubleshooting and no RF interference.
The 4801E system transmits R, G, B, clock signals separately through one individual fiber and can support video resolution up to UXGA (1600 x 1200). The units will be available in the small “module” format or as a card capable of coexisting with all other BCI cards and the 200E CC card cage system.
The 4801E series is in pre-production testing now with production units available by the end of this year.

    BCI Product Focus: 310i/320i
    310i
BCI is proud to announce the new multi-channel 310i/320i , video audio and data transport over IP product. As an adjunct to BCI’s popular 310/320 series fiber transport product, the new 310i/320i series encodes and decodes multiple channels of NTSC/PAL video as well as stereo audio and 10/100 Ethernet. The product is currently available in both a 2 and 4 video channel version that supports 4 and 8 analog audio, respectively.
The 310i series is designed for unidirectional video and audio transport as well as 10/100 Ethernet. The 320i series is a bi-directional transport system that also adds multiple, switched 10/100 Ethernet ports.
The 310i/320i products employ the latest digitally compressed, MPEG-2 compression technology and operate with user configurable bandwidths up to 8 MB/sec. Typical 4 mb/sec. bandwidth provides acceptable picture quality for most applications. A future version will provide support for MPEG-4 compression technology, allowing for even further reduced bandwidths. These units were designed with “ease of use” in mind. Minimal user configuration is required for set up through the BCI GUI software. Each video and audio pair is separately IP addressable which provides maximum flexibility in control of video and audio distribution.
Typical applications for this product are similar to that of the fiber based products. An example of this would be distribution of video and audio for cable TV head ends in schools and universities as well as distance learning or video teleconferencing applications. These products allow institutions to utilize existing Ethernet cabling infrastructure.
