BCI Announces New Highest-Quality Video Transmission Products to be Featured at the 2006 NSCA Show in Las Vegas, March 16-18, 2006

Torrance, CA March 6, 2006 - Broadata Communications Inc. (BCI) will feature many new products in the 2006 NSCA (National Systems Contractors Association) Trade Show, at Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV, on March 16-18, 2006. These new products will include Audio/Video Transmission over IP/Ethernet Network with the option to Forward Error Correction; TDM Ethernet for Highest-Quality Video Transmission; Add/Drop Audio-Video-Data Network Transmission; and 5 new Fiber Optic Link Products.
To meet customers needs in transmitting audio/video over IP/Ethernet network, BCI has expanded its audio/video transmission product portfolio from point-to-point fiber links to unicast/multicast/broadcast IP/Ethernet links. BCI' s new 230i system products can deliver audio/video anywhere within your IP/Ethernet network, regardless of link distance and physical medium (fiber or twisted pair). In addition, BCI' s 237i includes standard Pro-MPEG Forward Error Correction (FEC) which is ideal for telemedicine, distance learning, and broadcast video transmission over a wide area network (WAN) or satellite network, without worrying about dropping packets to affect video transmission quality.

Conventional Ethernet equipment only provides video transmission at best effort, one has always provisioned plenty of bandwidth to carry audio/video traffic. BCI' s E8596 product features a TDM (time division multiplexing) Ethernet fiber link design that provides a truly guaranteed and non-interruptible audio/video delivery, thus perfect for mission critical audio/video transmission applications such as video wall, digital signage, remote multimedia presentation, and broadcast video.

More and more, large audio/video/data network designs feature Ring or Bus networking topology with add/drop capability. BCI' s 300E products allow network operators to easily set up a fiber optic Ring or Bus network, offering add/drop video delivery services.

In addition to the above featured new products, BCI will also present its new fiber optic link products in S-Video transmission (235 Series), TDM uncompressed RGB/YUV transmission over one fiber (4700 Series), TDM Multi-Channel SDI transmission (1600 Series), TDM SDI+AES transmission (1700 Series), and high-speed USB transmission (4900 Series).
