Inc. (BCI), a world leader in the development of cutting edge optical
communications and opto-electronic technologies, announces the release
of its new Network Monitoring System (NMS), BCIView. BCIView enables
centralized trouble shooting of standard BCI products, allowing for
diagnosis of local and remote units from a single remote workstation
over the Internet, increasing organizational efficiency. Users can
securely log into the BCIView from any web browser, at any place, and
at any time to monitor, configure, and/or manage differing fiber optic
card based products anywhere in the world.
“Users
want to have a simple-to-use, effective, and scalable network
monitoring system for their audio and video centric networks. The
BCIView perfectly fits with this demand,” said BCI President and CEO,
Freddie Lin.
Developed by BCI to
provide the highest possible quality Network Monitoring System, BCIView
offers 24 hour monitoring of products including: short-haul analog
video and audio, digital SDI/HDTV video, professional AES/EBU audio,
Ethernet, and RS232/422, just to name a few. In addition, BCIView
generates SNMP alarms for important events such as system power-on,
system loss of power, link restoration, and link failure. It also
implements battery backup to continue to report status for 30 minutes
after power failure. This system is designed to comply with the
universal SNMP and HTTP standards, and provide easy integration with
other management software.
