The 6545 Series is a miniature 1310/1550 nm Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) System that multiplexes and demultiplexes full-duplex digital optical data channels on one singlemode or multimode fiber. Many versions of optical transmitter and receiver combinations are available to address different distance requirements.

The 6545 provides reliable protocol independent conversion of digital data signals, such as OC-3, OC-12, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Fiber Channel, Digital Audio/Video, and many others. The 6545 model addresses a bit rate application from 10 Mbps, up to 1.25 Gbps per channel. The 6545 can operate in either unidirectional or bi-directional transmission.
