| | The 912/914/910 series is a high performance Fiber Optic Route Protection Switch System that provides automated switching between primary and secondary fibers in case of fiber break and/or optical network equipment failure. The standard 912 system is designed to support fiber optic data link protection against a fiber break or unidirectional link failure. The standard 914/910 is designed to support a bi-directional link failure. Both the 912 and 910/914 are available with multimode and singlemode fiber. Many versions of optical transmitter and receiver combinations are available to address different distance requirements.
The 912/914/910 is the perfect add-on solution for existing fiber optic data links without any built-in fault tolerance. The 912/914/910 provides a retrofit solution to optical network equipment without needing modification. The 912 also provides alarms to warn user's that a loss of their main local optical source has occurred and provide fault reporting in both primary and secondary fibers.
The 912/914/910 is available in a rugged, standalone, compact unit. The 912/914/910 is equipped with panel connectors for the various fiber connections. Lastly, the 912/914/910 is easily monitored by LED indicators provided on the front panel, for power and channel activity.
The 912/914/910 design is capable of addressing a variety of non-standard configurations. To order a customized version or OEM/private brand name, contact Broadata Communications at 1-800-214-0222, for further information. For complete specifications, see PDF.
